The first Playlist of Forza Horizon 6 is now upon us, giving us a first look at how the weekly challenge mode will function and the very first exclusive reward cars in the game.
While it’s early days, it’s a good news/bad news situation, in that very little seems to have changed from the fifth title. There is one notable exception to this: The Trial seems to have fallen into the Pacific Ocean during the flight west from Mexico to Japan. That means no heavy reliance on an online championship against Unbeatable AI with human team-mates of varying competence — although it will be returning from Series 2 in four weeks’ time.
In this first playlist we can see that there’s fewer points available and much lower bars required to hit the targets to land yourself with the rewards. All four seasons have 45 points on offer, for a total of 180pt across S1, and you’ll land the individual season rewards at 15pt (33%) and 30pt (66%) respectively. Overall Series rewards are available at the same percentage points: 60pt and 120pt.
A new feature comes by way of a playlist History reward. Keep plugging away across the Series, accumulating points, and you’ll land further exclusive prizes — although with the first, a Mazda Cosmo 110S, coming at 500pt it’ll be a while before it’s relevant.
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Overall Rewards

The one-of-one, and sadly burned to a crisp in the real world, Mazda Furai is the cover star of Series 1, available to drive across all four weeks in the Monthly Rivals and as part of the new Test Drive feature at the main Festival Site.
Unsurprisingly, it’s also the first reward for the Series, available at 60pt — so first becoming available from the Autumn season next week. Rack up 120pt and you’ll land a 2010 Nissan 370Z, which is more surprising as it’s not available through any other means.
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Summer: Rewards

A pair of Japanese performance saloons are available this week, with the Toyota Altezza RS200 Z Edition up at 15 points, and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX 2006 at 30 points.
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Summer: Seasonal Challenges
All four seasons in S1 feature four events in the Seasonal Challenges section. Regular players will note that the Weekly Challenge, Daily Challenges, and Photo Challenge are standard stuff, but we also have one additional event each season.
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Summer: Weekly Challenge
You’ll need to complete four stages in the Weekly Challenge, in a specific order, and this week the star car is the Toyota GR86. Generally these aren’t onerous, and if this week’s first event is any indication then things will continue in that vein. Complete the set to score five points and land 25,000cr.
- Challenge 1: Own and Drive the Toyota GR86 2022
- Challenge 2: Earn three stars at Speed Zones in the GR86
- Challenge 3: Earn six Speed Skills in the GR86
- Challenge 4: Win the Hakone Nanamagari Touge Race in the GR86
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Summer: Daily Challenges
Daily challenges unlock at 1430 UTC every day, and you’re allowed seven days to complete each one — even when that runs into a new season or even a new Series. You’ll need access to online multiplayer to complete the first of these events this week. Checking off each event earns you one point and 5,000cr apiece.
- May 21st: Welcome to the Party Pal – Finish Round 3 of any Horizon Stunt Party
- May 22nd: Winner Winner – Win two Road Circuit Races
- May 23rd: Eat My Dust – Earn six Pass Skills in any Dirt Race
- May 24th: Lookin’ So Cute – Park the 1993 Autozam AZ-1 at any Car Meet
- May 25th: Chain Reaction – Earn two Ultimate Chain Skills
- May 26th: Off Grid – Earn three Stars at Trailblazers
- May 27th: My Neighbour Toyota-ro – Take a photo of any Toyota at Mei’s House.
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Summer: Photo Challenge
Photo Challenges require you to take a specific photo, sometimes of a car, sometimes of a location, and sometimes both. This week’s event is simple enough and you’ll score two points and earn a Cat Meow Car Horn as a reward.
- Photo Challenge: Take a photo at the Horizon Festival Japan site.
- Reward: Cat Meow Car Horn, 2pt
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Summer: Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt challenges send you hunting for a treasure chest somewhere on the map, although it appears that there’s been a mild downgrade from the FH5 version in that the location is already marked on your map. Smash the chest to earn the reward, which this week is three points and 100,000cr.
Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Summer: Seasonal Events

Racing and stunting forms the bulk of the Playlist now, with 22pt available this week. You’ll face specific vehicle restrictions most of the time, and along with the (usually) three-race Seasonal Championships and the PR Stunts we now have Time Attack as a Seasonal Event type.

Forza Horizon 6 Series 1: Monthly Rivals
This game mode sees you set as fast a time as you can at a given course with a car provided for the task, without any contact or use of Rewind. Unlike the other challenges, this one is available across all four seasons, although you can take part in it whenever you want. It offers one point to each of the four seasons, for four in total. You’ll also receive a Super Wheelspin.
- Target: Complete a clean lap of Sobi Circuit in the Mazda Furai
- Reward: Super Wheelspin, 4pt (1pt per season)
The Autumn season of Series 1 runs through to 1430 UTC on Thursday June 2nd, while Series 1 as a whole runs to the same time on Thursday June 18th. Series 2 — Horizon Decades — will come along to replace it with new events and new rewards including playlist-exclusive cars.
